- Biography Intro -
Xandor Darte is a wandering Elezen that has made a name for himself in the land of Eorzea. From humble beginnings Xandor's story begins in Gridania. We don't know much about his past beyond his arrival to Eorzea. The only information he's willing to tell is that he sought out a new start in a new land. It's unclear if he's been in Eorzea this whole time or if he really did come from somewhere else. Which ever way you look at it, Xandor tends to be elusive about his past for better or for worse.
Despite his past however, Xandor is a gentle soul who helps those who are in need. A somewhat silent fellow speaks through his actions both in kindness and in battle.
- Personality Traits -
Xan is known to be stoic in his ways, enduring his hardships without complaint. In most all situations, he remains calm and composed despite what may have happened. His stoicism is seen as both strength and mystery by those who meet him, adding to the aura of legend surrounding him.
To go along with this, he is also a man of few words. Speaking only when it is required is his usual trope, however he does indulge in a good conversation every now and again. His words carry weight as they are thought about and then spoken. The quietness of his demeanor alludes to his introspection. He is constantly thinking, observing, and calculating about the world around him.
- Physical Characteristics -
Xan's most notable psychical characteristics are his scarred eye and the six arranged burn scars on his forehead. In his nature of giving little detail about himself, there is a lot to be curious of how he came to brandish these marks.
There is not much that can be gathered about his eye, but it does seem that he can still see out of it. The eye lacks color as opposed to his other which is an emerald-looking green. The scar on the damaged eye's side leads us to believe that he was slashed in some way, including the aforementioned eye.
The six arranged burn scars are also a mystery, but there are some clues to what they may be. Assuming that Xan had come from another land other than Eorzea, it's a decent guess that these markings may have been intentional. We know that he wanted to start anew, and as such this could have been a precursor to his new way of life. These could have been part of an ancient practice that held significance with him. With what has been observed with who he is, it aligns with this theory.
As far as his attire, Xan usually is seen in heavy clothing. Whether it be robes, capes, or armor, he is covered up almost entirely with many of his wardrobe choices. There are few exceptions when mobility is more necessary in the context of battle. A staple of his, is the glowing glass pumpkin earring he tends to wear at all times.
Souls of the Reaper | <Reapr>
Xandor founded Souls of the Reaper (Reapr) during Starlight 2020 with then partners Kaeda and Juniper. It was founded based on Xan's principles of helping those in need. "A home for lost adventurers, greenhorns and veterans alike" has been the Reapr creed since it's foundation. The free company can be identified by it's soul-flame diamond crest.
Since helping build Empyreum within Ishgard, it made sense that Xan would then own property within its walls. The home dubbed "Reaper's Respite" was constructed soon after the restoration project was completed. It serves as a place for these wanderers to gather, take rest, and get the help they need on their journeys.
Xandor can be found spending most of his time there these days. Taking care of the home and the company within his office. However, when adventure calls, Xan is always there to answer.
Events of A Realm Reborn
As mentioned, Xan's story began in Gridania when he arrived to Eorzea. Looking to start anew, he quickly became acclimated with it's people and the archer's guild. Being light on his feet and a generally technical-thinking individual, he picked up the bow and started to learn his new way into adventuring.

With all of these great stories of our friend Xan, comes speculation of his existence. The details that we know of him, have merely been retold to us through generations. This begs the question of this adventurer really existing. Was he really a hero of the past? Was he one of the greats? Perhaps he is an omnipresent idea that we created to process the events of Eorzea. We will truly never know, however some say that they have met him...
